Solène Cairoli
new york city USA — paris FRA
bass player ; composer ; arranger ; educator
About
Born and bred in France in 1996, Solene showed a great interest for arts and particularly music since a young age. After being offered an electric bass for her fourteenth birthday, she will begin studying music in a local music school. That's during her musicology undergrad in Angers, France, that she discovered jazz and began to seriously study music. After a successful first year of jazz studies, she decided to begin to play upright bass, willing to get closer to the most traditional jazz sound.
Admitted to Paris Regional Conservatory in 2018, she had the opportunity to make her debuts on the vibrant Parisian jazz scene. It's after two years and graduating from both a Classical and a Jazz Music Diploma that she decided to seek for some new opportunities in the New World.
She graduated from a Master Degree from the Manhattan School of Music in 2022, after studying with musicians such as Phil Markowitz, Buster Williams or Rogerio Boccato, and is now performing in the New York City area.
